A completely handcrafted leather belt, ready to proudly outlast its factory competition!

This belt has been cut manually from a single piece of a full grain cowhide, its edges carefully bevelled, sanded, dyed, sealed, burnished, covered with natural beeswax, hot polished and buffed to shine using hand tools only.

What makes it so much better than the other ones?

Buckle - this heavy, solid stainless steel is incomparably more durable than the buckles of most of even high end belts nowadays. The fact that it has not been plated with anything means that it won't have the problem of the plating or paint scratching off with time. Buckles made of zinc alloys does not stand the test of time not only visually, their breaking load often does not exceed 100 kg, while this one scored 500 kg on the test.

Leather - the usual 'genuine leather' label means merely that the product is not made of plastic, or at least not entirely. In reality that term can legally be applied even to natural scraps that have been ground, mixed with glue and formed into piece of leather again, with new, artificial grain imprinted on it. The material that will be used for your new belt is a thick, full grain, uncorrected piece of hide. Being vegetable tanned, it is acquired in a most eco-friendly way. Unlike its chrome tanned counterpart, it will cover with beautiful patina over time and if taken care of well it can serve for decades.

Way of attaching the buckle - stitching by hand along the belt, using traditional saddle stitch technique provides the most durable connection, this is the way the saddlers make horse equipment and this is the way that every one of my belts is always made. Two most popular methods of attaching the buckle are riveting and stitching across the belt. In first case either the rivet breaks or the leather around it gets loose and the rivet falls out. Stitching across the belt weakens it by perforating the leather in its most critical place. Always pay attention to it while choosing a belt.

Please note that due to the fact that leather is a natural product and there are no two identical leather hides, the product you'll receive might differ slightly from the one presented on the photographs. Color display may vary due to monitor settings.
